President's Message

With Christmas just around the corner, I want to extend my wishes for a joyous and safe Holiday to you and your families. Be careful as you decorate your homes and yards. Be safe when heating up the house. Keep all space heaters away from anything flammable. Keep chimneys clean to prevent chimney fires. Keep screens in front of the fire place. Make sure that your spark arrestor on the chimney is serviceable and that all limbs are clear of the chimney.

Thank you to those neighbors who participated and made the Neighborhood- Night- Out in October a success.  A few pictures made it to the web site so check them out

In December, we vote for new officers to be seated at the first meeting in January. We need neighbors to step up and run for one of the 4 positions. I cannot commit to another year as President, and our Secretary Linda Christi will be stepping down after several years. Our Treasurer, Sara Ramirez, will also be stepping down. I want to thank Sara and Linda for their dedication to our association and for the many years that they served in their positions.

Voting for the officers will be an easy task. We have created a ballot on the web site where you can cast your vote, just once, or write in your choice. Paper ballots will go out anyway to make sure that everyone has a chance to vote.

What did we accomplish over the year? Well the main thing was the refurbishing of the entry sign on Money Tree. I want to thank all of the neighbors that lent a hand in that accomplishment. We got the association re-registered with the city and with other neighborhood organizations. Going electronic has saved the association a lot of money. We plan to get all home owners in the neighborhood listed as per request from the San Antonio Neighborhood Alliance.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve our NCHNA this past year.

Thank you all,

Richard Palmer
