New
Possum Tree Block Captain Needed
- Marlene announced that, as of now, when a block captain resigns without
getting a replacement (with the help of the Lead Block Captain and the Board),
that block will not receive door-to-door fliers until a new block captain

Roundtable
– Marlene spoke about this monthly meeting and will forward the meeting
schedule to our website coordinator, once she receives it. Texas
Neighbors Together
– Marlene informed the attendees that a local chapter of TNT is being formed
(San Antonio Neighbors Together, or SANT) to keep abreast of laws, etc., that
affect neighborhoods. Individuals
can join at $10 per year and associations can join at $25 per year.
A vote was taken to determine initial opinions on NCHNA joining this,
though as an individual (due to budget constraints):
6 yeas and 1 abstention. We
will keep informed on SANT and determine future ability to join as an
association. Miscellaneous Items
A
member present stated that the stoplight at Jones-Maltsberger and Money Tree
takes more than 90 seconds to change after 6am, even when there is no traffic
on Jones-Maltsberger. This is the
case since the Parks & Rec Dept re-opened the park to cross traffic.
Everyone needs to call 311 and/or the police to change the timing to a
more reasonable measure. A
member present stated that he would like to see a four-way stop at Money Tree
and Archers Bow, and another stop at Money Tree and Century Oak.
It was suggested that anyone agreeing call 311 to request the process
for getting this done. A
member present stated that two Dobermans were found, one black and tan, the
other red and grey, both about 2 years old.
He kept them for a few days and, when no notices were put up in the
area for missing dogs, delivered them to the animal shelter.
Please let people know about these dogs and keep an eye out for missing
Doberman posters. The meeting was adjourned. |
